The Swoosh Retreat:
Where your wild swim meets complete luxury

17-19 July 2026 | From £845pp

Swimming The Bantham Swoosh? Then spend two nights at Seaflowers, with luxury accommodation, nutritious fuelling food, restorative yoga sessions, deep-tissue massage and all logistics taken care of. The entire weekend is designed around your swim adventure. This retreat takes care of everything for you, so you can focus on your training and enjoying the truly iconic ride of the tide!

The Bantham Swoosh

Swim

The Bantham Swoosh is one of the most popular open-water swims in the UK. You swim 6 kilometres through the private Bantham Estate, finishing at one of Europe's finest beaches. During the final kilometre the ebbing tide is funnelled through a narrow section of river creating a "swoosh" that has you swimming up to four times your normal speed. It's a fantastic experience, swimming an isolated river that can only be accessed from the water, with a friendly and supportive community.

Seaflowers are proud to be “Friends Of’ Level Water, the charity who organise the Swoosh. 10% of the Swoosh Retreat’s profit will be donated to Level Water to help fund adapted disability swimming lessons to children across the UK.

Co-host Suzy will join swimmers (in her fourth-year swimming!), while co-host Francesca walks with supporters. All your logistics will be taken care of, with transfers to/from Seaflowers, so you can focus on enjoying your swim.

Nourish

Hannah from Herbs & Wild will be providing beautiful, seasonal food to fuel and nourish you throughout the weekend. Herbs & Wild is centred on delicious food that celebrates vibrant herbs and foraged wild ingredients in combination with carefully sourced, seasonal ingredients.

Hannah works at Glebe House in East Devon and helps No Mis en Plastic with research, socials and strategy - both her food and values are perfectly algined with the ethos of this retreat.

Each meal and snack will be specifically designed around your swim. From nutritious breakfasts, to delectable snacks, to hearty feast around the Seaflowers dinner table - every meal will be prepared with the very best local ingredients to fuel you pre-swim and aid your post-swim recovery.

Recover

Each retreat spot includes a 1-hour deep tissue massage with sports massage therapists Lou Parker Swift and Katie Brown. They’ll use a fusion of techniques - including deep tissue massage, trigger point and fascial work, acupressure and hot stones - to help you relax post-swim.

On Saturday evening you'll unwind with a 90-minute restorative yoga session. From slow, mindful movements to longer-held supportive postures, Francesca will guide you to achieving a full body and mind release. And on Sunday morning there'll be a final yoga flow to recharge and round-out your weekend.

You'll also enjoy time to sink into the soothing warmth of our hot tub, stroll along Frogmore Creek’s idyillic shoreline, give stand-up paddle boarding ago from the bottom of the Seaflowers’ garden, and enjoy debrief chats around the firepit with your fellow swimmers.

Your luxury room awaits…

Whether you’re coming solo, swimming with a friend, or have a supportive parnter who’s along for the ride, there’s an option to suit you. Swimmers are welcome to be joined by non-swimming partners or friends, who can walk along the river while you swim and still enjoy the weekend’s activities.
