Meet your host, Suzy
Suzy is the owner of Seaflowers, which she manages alongside a corporate day job. She lives in the Seaflowers Annex, also available for guest bookings, so you’ll often find her adventuring along the coastline in her little VW Caddy van. Having explored the world, she’s now happiest in Devon, and has drawn inspiration from her travels to transform Seaflowers.
Suzy is the third generation of the Greenwood family to own Seaflowers. Raymond Greenwood found the beautiful creek-side property in 1990 with wife Evelyn, inspired by his childhood holidays in the South Hams. His son Anthony and wife Patricia converted the original bungalow into a purpose-built B&B in 2011. They ran a vibrant business for thirteen years, winning numerous awards. Having relocated from London to Devon, Suzy took over in 2024, redesigning Seaflowers into today’s modern guesthouse.
While you may or may not meet Suzy during your stay, she is always readily available and happy to help, ensuring every guest enjoys the very best experience.
Seaflowers’ coastal art and interiors
Seaflowers is made all the more unique with interiors featuring the artwork of British artist Bert Fowler, and furnishings from his homeware brand, Bert & Buoy. The central space showcases an original commission of Seaflowers in its picturesque Frogmore setting. Each bedroom is uniquely themed around one of Bert's well-known characters, inspired by Devon sea life. A stay at Seaflowers offers an immersive experience with a beautifully bright and vibrant aesthetic.
