"The whole experience was faultless!"
Beth, Seaflowers full-house, stayed May 2025
“Our trip to Seaflowers was perfect. From start to finish Suzy was brilliant, very communicative and accommodating. The house itself was breathtaking, the views, the aesthetic, every little trinket and touch point was beautifully themed. The rooms were comfy, calm and all spotlessly clean. We made great use of the outside table, hot tub and garden. The whole experience was faultless and it was one of the happiest weekends we’ve had. A big shout out to the wonderful pub opposite who were just amazing and we’d HIGHLY recommend booking Jo the private chef to come in to cook a 3 course meal. This was a truly special touch, the food was outstanding and we fell in love with her!”

"The ideal jumping off point for exploring the South Hams."
Coast Magazine, review, April 2024
“Seaflowers ought to be on your ‘must visit’ list if you’re looking for a coastal staycation on the nautical side. Each of the bedrooms is themed around one of Bert Fowler’s ‘nautical niceness’ characters, and he has created a beautiful bespoke artwork of Seaflowers and Frogmore for the central space in the property. The result is a bright and lively place to stay situated in a dreamy location on the creek with amazing views. Seaflowers can be hired out completely for a party of up to 14 people or also offers a room-only option, making it the perfect destination for groups of friends or families. We loved our stay there and found Seaflowers to be the ideal ‘jumping off’ point for time spent exploring the coastline of the South Hams.”

“A coastal gem with stunning views and heartfelt hospitality."
Emma, Seaflowers full-house, stayed April 2025
“From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the breathtaking views - absolutely picture-perfect and so peaceful. Our group ranged from a 9-month-old baby to a 98-year-old great-grandparent, and Seaflowers was perfect for all of us. The house is incredibly well set up for multigenerational stays, with comfortable, accessible spaces and thoughtful touches throughout. Suzy is an absolutely fantastic host - so warm, welcoming, and full of helpful tips about the area. She truly went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. I can’t recommend Seaflowers enough. It’s a true coastal treasure and we’re already planning our next visit!”
-
"Beautiful and exactly what we were after."
Jane, The Heron, stayed April 2025
“Firstly, the scenery from the living room / kitchen / outside is beautiful and exactly what we were after. I looked forward to my peaceful morning coffee looking out over the creek - even on a rainy morning it was still lovely. Great attention to detail in the rooms - from iron, to hairdryer, coffee and even mugs with room-specific designs. Despite “sharing” the house with other people who were strangers, it was big enough in the communal areas to feel totally at ease / natural.”

"The bedrooms are bright, white and striking."
The I Paper, review, January 2024
“Bespoke, coastal-influenced artwork has been created by a Dartmouth artist for the seven bedrooms, which are bright, white and striking, with graphic prints. Outside, the lawn slopes down to the creek, where guests can play on the water.”
-
"Seeing the chickens every morning was a highlight!"
Emily, The Shrimp, stayed April 2025
“Stunning property, fantastic stay! We had such a wonderful stay at your property! The views were truly stunning, and we appreciated your warm hospitality. Our boys especially loved seeing the chickens every morning – it was a highlight for them! We definitely plan on returning with the rest of our family in the future. Thank you again for a lovely experience.“
-
“The house and gardens are amazing."
Khader, Seaflowers full-house, stayed March 2025
“The house and gardens are amazing. I would recommend for anyone who would love a little holiday in a nice remote area with a town minutes away.”

"Seaflowers is a novel idea with a unique approach."
Devon Life, review, January 2025
“Suzy had a unique approach to the way she wanted to run Seaflowers. Seaflowers sleeps 14, which suits multi-generational families or groups, perhaps celebrating birthdays or special events, but there’s also the option of room only for those are passing through, or only want to stay one or two nights. Suzy also created a selection of extra packages including private chef meals for the larger group bookings from Jo Parsons, who lives in the village and runs a popular supper club. Guests can choose welcome suppers which are ready-to-go in the fridge, or a three course in-house dinner or even afternoon Devon tea. The idea is to make it completely flexible, to suit today’s holiday requirements.”
-
"Seaflowers is truly a very special place."
Anna, Seaflowers full-house, March 2025
“Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful treat of a place! We had the most lovely time at Seaflowers. Truly you have created a very special place at Seaflowers, and all the thought and details did not go unnoticed. It’s one of those ‘they really have thought of everything!’ sort of stays, and made for a very happy weekend. Many thanks again, and we hope to be back one day soon!”
-
"Immaculate with exceptional attention to detail."
Colin, The Shrimp, stayed March 2025
“Fabulous! Suzy was very welcoming, then left us to relax and enjoy. The property is immaculate, and its facilities and location exceptional. Views over estuary unparalleled. Would definitely rent again and highly recommend - if available!”
-

“We had a wonderful time thank you. Everything was lovely including the fabulous food. The weekend was all so easy and relaxing. The pub meal was also lovely and we took part in quiz night. We all loved the weekend and the weather was fantastic. The house is beautiful. Thank you for use of your lovely house and hoping we will come again some time.”

“Seaflowers oozes originality and addresses your every need."
The Telegraph, review, September 2024
“Seaflowers oozes originality and addresses every need you could ever have when away from home. The calm and simple colour scheme is smart, with rustic details such as the wooden oars hanging on the wall, plus a one-off Bert Fowler commission of this Frogmore location as a framed picture and huge wall panels in the hallway… Every room is light and airy with huge windows showcasing stunning creek views. Each bedroom character will make you smile – with a throw, cushions, mugs, glasses and artwork, and a different accent colour, each of the six themes celebrates a different nautical character. Local private chef Jo can be booked in advance to provide a homemade welcome supper when you arrive; it’s a far nicer option than any takeaway, but without the hassle of cooking.”
-
"Everything we needed for the perfect break."
Helena, Seaflowers full-house, stayed March 2025
“A wonderful weekend with friends. We absolutely loved our stay at Seaflowers. The home had everything we needed for the perfect break. The setting and grounds are idyllic and the accommodation is perfectly set up for the whole group to enjoy their own space and private bathrooms. We loved exploring the local area and really enjoyed a night at the local pub with great food and a band! We’ll definitely be returning.“
-
"Exceptional in every way. Perfect for a getaway break."
Pat, Seaflowers full-house, stayed January 2025
“A long weekend away for a relaxing crafting experience with a group of lovely ladies. Immaculate. Perfect for a getaway break. Attention to detail and all mod cons. Exceptional in every way. Plenty of parking and a very welcoming pub opposite offering breakfast and evening meals. Public transport on the doorstep if required, accessing, Dartmouth, Totnes and Kingsbridge and further afield if required. A little bit of everything, for everybody.”
-
"A wonderful Christmas experience!"
Helen, Seaflowers full-house, December 2024
“This well situated property is comprehensively furnished. Notable is a local artist’s marine theme design in the bedroom furnishings and mugs. Brilliant for a large family to spend Christmas together (14 of us). Loads of space and also loads of storage in the well equipped kitchen with a magnificent view of the ebb and flow of Frogmore estuary. The two ovens were certainly a big advantage with the Christmas cooking. We intended to use the Stand Up Paddleboard in the boathouse but with the nice weather, instead we visited the nearby beaches and explore the local area. We also collected the chicken eggs for breakfast one morning, a bonus!”
-
"All of the little extra touches throughout made it extra special."
Leeanne, Seaflowers full-house, stayed September 2024
“Such a beautiful house. It made for a perfect short getaway. The surroundings were peaceful and the views were stunning. The house was relaxed and the communal space worked well for all staying. Our host Suzy was lovely, accommodating and friendly. All of our small requests, questions and queries were answered and dealt with quickly. All of the little extra touches throughout the home made it extra special. A very well thought out and designed home.”
-
"The proprty was perfect. Exactly what we needed and more."
Stephanie, Seaflowers full-house, October 2024

"A family experience we will cherish forever."
Emma, The Shrimp, November 2024
“From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in a sense of serenity and were met with a warm welcome from the wonderful and inspiring host, Suzy. Throughout our stay, she went over and above to ensure that our trip was perfect. Any queries we had were answered promptly, and she provided us with invaluable tips and advice about the local area, which made our experience all the more enjoyable. We stayed in the Shrimp room, complete with its very own nursery (cot room) thoughtfully prepared with toys for our little one, and an adjoining twin room. We honestly cannot recommend this spot highly enough, and if you have the pleasure of booking - you are in for a wonderful treat. We seriously would give it 10 stars if we could and very much hope to visit again soon!”
-
“We walked through the door and the views took my breath away!"
Ruth, Seaflowers full-house, stayed August 2024
“We walked through the front door, and the views took my breath away! Absolutely stunning! All of the rooms were lovely, but the views from The Shrimp suite are incredible. Seaflowers has plenty of space for all the family (14 of us). It is well equipped with kitchen tools / utensils / great coffee, to make a stay really straightforward. The hot tub, garden and creek provided hours of fun - including space for volleyball and spike ball! The host was so helpful and friendly. We’d thoroughly recommend it!”
-
"We couldn’t have asked for a better venue for our getaway!"
Tom, The Puffin, stayed October 2024
“We had the most wonderful long weekend at Seaflowers with some friends. It’s the perfect location; from the beautiful rooms to the amazing kitchen and huge living / dining room. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue for our getaway! We were in The Puffin. It was a gorgeous room (really love the @bertandbuoy artwork) and was so beautiful being able to open the curtains onto the amazing garden and view of the creek in the morning. The main kitchen, living and dining area was great. It’s huge and was perfect for our big Saturday night in… cooking up a feast that we shared around the massive dining table. Was only topped by the fact we could go for a dip in the hot tub outside afterwards. Seaflowers is in such a beautiful part of the world as well. It’s an idyllic spot and is only a short journey to Salcombe (amazing ice cream to be found here!). It really was the best weekend away. Go there…now. You can thank me later.”

“Seaflowers is a piece of heaven on earth."
Lucy, The Crab, stayed September 2024
“Seaflowers is the perfect place to come to experience a piece of heaven on earth. Waking, and falling asleep to the most peaceful setting - this alone makes the trip worthwhile. We enjoyed a family birthday celebration the house and it was just perfect for our families. The owner was so accommodating, we will be back!“
-
“The house is absolutely perfect for a gathering of friends or family."
Ayshea, Seaflowers full-house, stayed October 2024
“The house is absolutely perfect for a gathering of friends or family. When booking I was looking for a place where all the bedrooms were ensuite and most importantly that there was plenty of comfy seating so that we could all sit together. Seaflowers has everything, 7 bedrooms with comfy beds, a fantastic seating area to relax and plenty of space to sit around a table together and the view is fantastic. Suzy the host is very helpful and can give lots of recommendations. Would book again.”
-
"The most perfect stay with the best host."
Jay, The Gull, stayed September 2024
“We stayed at Seaflowers for a week in September and had the most perfect stay. Suzy was the best host, couldn’t do enough for us and even brought us fresh eggs every morning. The views from the front rooms are beautiful, looking out onto the river. The house was fully equipped with everything you could think of, great location not far from Kingsbridge and opposite The Globe Inn. Would definitely stay again.”
-
"A relaxing retreat from the city in an enviable position."
Megan, The Puffin, stayed September 2024
“We had an awesome stay at Seaflowers. We were hoping for a relaxing retreat from the city and that’s exactly what we got! The room was bright, clean and characterful. Suzy’s place had an enviable position on the banks of the estuary and it was an absolute joy to wake up to the beautiful view of the creek in the morning. After a weekend of exploring the Devon coast, delicious local food and activities, including taking our kayak out from the guesthouse’s very own slipway, I was very sad to leave. Thank you Suzy for a wonderful stay.“
-
“Simply beautiful - can’t wait to go back."
Katie, The Shrimp, stayed September 2024
“Seaflowers is amazing. We drove from Suffolk - which is a looooong way - but it was 100% worth the journey. As soon as we arrived I felt the weight of the world lift from my shoulders. The stunning view of Frogmore Creek, together with the beautiful Seaflowers put me in relaxed holiday mode straight away. We ate fresh lobsters and beef from the local fields, visited the local beaches and even got to experience the sauna on the beach at Blackpool Sands. We also celebrated my husband’s 40th birthday - the big table is perfect for celebrating! It was simply amazing. The view of the creek, the aesthetic of the house, proximity to the coast. All brilliant and made for a wonderful stay, where I felt like I’d found a little piece of paradise in Devon. Oh, and the host is pretty awesome too :). Can’t wait to go back - just wish we lived a bit closer.“
-

Cheryl, Seaflowers full-house, stayed August 2024
“As a large group of 12 people this was the best accommodation we have stayed in in the last 10 years. Large seating, dining and kitchen area which enabled us to relax & enjoy our stay. All bedrooms had ensuite facilities. Stunning views of the creek with access from garden for paddle boarding. Stunning co-ordinated furnishings. Fully equipped kitchen, with supplies of essentials coffee/tea/sugar pint of milk & fresh eggs. Hot tub was lovely with easy access, towels and plastic glasses.” -

"The sense of space in the house is wonderful, with dreamy views."
Jessica, Seaflowers full-house, August 2024
“I enjoyed a wonderful week at Seaflowers. The pictures online really stood out from the rest of the options we were considering when choosing our holiday and when we arrived we were not disappointed - it’s even better. The sense of space in the house is wonderful, with dreamy views over the river. I really didn’t want to leave! The interiors are absolutely beautiful with a luxe feel and the house has everything you should need both in the bedroom and a well equipped kitchen. The large garden and hot tub was delightful and such a treat. I often find myself in the South Hams for work and will definitely be keen to return for another stay in the future.“
-
"A great holiday venue for family members from teens to 80’s."
Michael & Jane, Seaflowers full-house, August 2024
“Happy memories of a great holiday venue for family members from teens to 80’s. We loved the space for 12 of us, especially the long dining table and large settees, and the well equipped kitchen. The hot tub was very popular and the lawn was great for games, including volleyball. Paddleboarders made use of the slipway. The location was great for exploring local beaches and towns and the ever changing creek, including its wildlife, fascinated us. Luxury touches and Suzy’s friendly, helpful attitude enhanced our Seaflowers experience.” -
"The bed and pillows are probably the bed I’ve slept on!"
Pen, The Crab, stayed July 2024
“Simply fantastic! Seaflowers is a wonderful place to stay. This guest house is spacious and tastefully decorated. We love the themed rooms - staying in The Crab which is incredibly comfortable. The bed and pillows are probably the bed I’ve slept on! Much thought and consideration has been made to make sure guests have a relaxing stay. There’s plenty of tea and coffee in the room and additional essentials in the kitchen. We liked the shared living space and enjoyed socialising with other guests after dinner.”
-
"The house is so serene and calming, it was perfect."
Elle, The Gull, stayed May 2024
“The most stunning short break! The house is so serene and calming, it was the perfect place to spend a few days with my sister. We stayed in The Gull, which has a fantastic view of the creek out some french doors. You can walk straight out the bedroom, through the garden, and down the slipway to the water. The whole placed was spotless and well stocked with the essentials. A very good kitchen and the best settee I’ve ever used! 10/10, I would love to stay again.” -
